Hi, I'm Meagan.
I started Blue Bookkeeping so small business owners could get big-firm-quality books at a flat rate they can plan around.
I've spent my career in the numbers: payroll operations for companies running ADP and QuickBooks, multi-state sales and use tax compliance, accounts payable for logistics businesses, and monthly bookkeeping for service firms of every kind. I built Zamilpa & Co. on that work, and I built Blue to bring the same discipline to smaller businesses in a simple, productized package.
When I'm not closing books you'll find me on a golf course, a tennis or pickleball court, or at the beach somewhere in Southern California.
What we believe
Flat rates are better
Hourly billing punishes you for asking questions and rewards your bookkeeper for being slow. Every Blue plan is a flat monthly rate with a defined scope, so you always know what it costs and what you're getting.
Books should be current
Your books live in QuickBooks Online, reconciled to the penny every month, with statements delivered within 7 business days of month-end. At tax time, your CPA gets a clean file instead of a shoebox.
You get a real person
Questions get answered by your bookkeeper, not a ticket queue. When something in your numbers changes, you hear about it in plain English, not accounting jargon.
